WEEE Regulations
In July 2007 the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations changed to include the requirement that all suppliers of electrical equipment pay for the recycling of household electrical goods. This bill was previously met by councils and in some cases items were not recycled at all.
As part of the Government regulations, Howdens Joinery has joined the DTS scheme to increase recycling rates of electrical goods in UK and allow end users to recycle any old electrical items free of charge. View our WEEE compliance certificate. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, please click here to download it.
All new electrical products that can be recycled carry the 'crossed out wheelie bin' to help users to remember to recycle them.
