Rush Dance has the winning edge

A local dance group were delighted when Thurso depot manager, Kevin Cowie decided to make a donation to support their competition bid at the 2016 United Dance Organisation World Street dance championships...

Rush Dance, Edge Dance Studio

Rush Dance from the Edge Dance Studio in Caithness, teaches street and breakdance to boys and girls from the age of three upwards. Classes are fun and energetic whilst learning the biggest dance craze which swept the nation after George Sampson and Diversity won Britain’s Got Talent.

Over 3,000 dancers from over 30 countries around the world competed from as far afield as Canada, Australia, Japan, America, Netherlands and Germany.

Coming home with 12 trophies, the 16 Rush Dance children taught by Rebecca Miller, showed that Highland Jigs are not the only moves to be busted in Scotland. Kevin’s niece, Hannah Cowie made her uncle proud and danced away with the U8 Champion title.
