Brecon Rotary

The Brecon Rotary's Young Chef Competition is a competition for local full time students aged 11 to 17 years, living in the surrounding area. The competition winner goes on to compete in the regionally held semi-finals, with just 8 students in total making it to the national final.

Cooking among young people is a growing interest and a valuable life skill.  Howden’s Brecon depot sponsored the local Brecon competition where budding chefs prepared and presented a three course meal within a pre-set budget and time limit. The winner, Becky Matthews went forward to represent the club at the area semi-final in February 2017.
