Howdens' pricing and aftersales policy

Howdens Joinery has been selling kitchens and joinery to trade professionals for over 20 years.

All Howdens’ products require professional installation and that is why we are a trade only business. Howdens is also a local business. Our depot managers hire their own staff, refine their own stock to suit local needs and adjust their own pricing to suit local conditions.

Howdens offer our trade customers a confidential discount and a personal account service. When preparing an estimate for the benefit of our customer (the builder), this may include a component which the customer has set and expects to receive from the end user, covering, for example, the customer’s additional costs for sourcing, consumable items, transporting and installing our products and/or the customer’s commission.

The final price for the supply and installation of a kitchen is agreed between our customer and the end user. Howdens does not participate in the negotiation between them, and is not responsible for the builder’s work or for the price that is finally struck between the builder and the end user, including the amount of any costs or commission paid by the end user to the builder.

We also offer a free kitchen planning service, which often includes a site visit by a Howdens designer to survey the builder’s project.

Howdens is proud to stand behind our no-call-back quality guarantee on all our products and provide a 25 year guarantee for all our cabinets and frontals*. We also offer a two-year guarantee and an after-sales service for our own-brand Lamona appliances bought from us by our trade customers and installed in end users’ homes.

* Subject to availability of the particular frontal model. Cabinet guarantee is effective from the date of installation in the UK. Frontal guarantees are for a period of within 5 years from the date of installation in the UK. Guarantee applies to manufacturing defects only.
