Junction boxes are small plastic devices used to house live wires, which are then typically fitted to studwork within walls. They prevent the spread of fire by keeping wires enclosed, whilst also maintaining a secure and reliable connection. Junction boxes can be fitted by hand, with no need for specialist equipment, and many come with a useful spare locking clip. There is a selection of sizes available, each of which can carry a different number of wires, as well as a choice of shape, making it possible to get the right fit for a project.
