Intumescent Strips
Intumescent strips are fitted to a fire-rated entranceway to prevent the spread of smoke and flames in the event of a blaze. When exposed to extreme heat, they expand to fill the gap between the door and the frame, containing the fire within one area. Intumescent door strips are quick and straightforward to fit, saving time on site. Also known as intumescent fire strips, they are an essential component of any entranceway that needs to be fire-rated.
