Files and Rasps
Files and rasps are an intermediary finishing stage between the raw cuts made during construction and the application of fine-grit papers. Designed with teeth at different heights and spacing to get the most efficient grating effect on timber, they can be applied to manually remove layers to smooth out the surface. They are available in a variety of lengths for different areas of a project – from larger ones for faster removal on bigger jobs to smaller sizes for finishing off. Often used in increasingly finer grades, files and rasps can be used to get a smooth and professional finish.
