Varnish
Varnish protects woodwork from water damage and abrasion by creating a hard transparent or tinted coating on the outer layer of the material. There are a number of finishes available, from the classic high-shine coating to subtle coverings that reinforce the natural grain of these materials. Used internally or externally to provide long-lasting protection for entranceways, timber, and floorboards, varnish can be used to create a consistent look and feel for all timber used throughout a home. The tough-drying coating gives these elements a longer life, reducing the need for redecorating or replacement over time.
