On Going Support.

We had a Howdens kitchen fitted to our new house in 2021 and have had nothing but positive support from Julie and the local Birtley team no matter how small the issue. Recently the Lamona fridge decided to fail and despite 2 x Lamona repair visits it could not be fixed. Julie and the team stepped in and within 48 hours new fridge fitted and working. excellent service.

Birtley is generally my go to branch as it's geographically the closest to our company. The service I get in return from the trade counter, up through sales and management is exemplary. Prices are competitive and if we need something in a hurry. They will pull out all the stops. Beyond the Birtley branch, your company ethos is definitely working as the service always remains high. I think the trade counter staff are…

I think the trade counter staff are great. They are experienced and faultless in there customer service. My problem with Howdens is there appalling pricing strategy. They expect the competition to do their pricing first then bring the quote for them to beat it. I questioned this with the branch manager as I was hoping for a level field for my business and was told “that’s how we do it. Don’t you want us to save you money?” The last two kitchens we installed went to my regular supplier. I won’t even get a quote from you again for kitchens unless things change. I’m sure nothing will come of this review but I’m happy to discuss it.

I received a promotional phone call…

I received a promotional phone call from a guy called Robbie (portobello depot) regarding future work. As it happened, we were looking at two jobs that were in pipeline. Consequently, we visited depot and ordered units, Robbie was professional and understood our requirements. Delivery was made as scheduled and our works are complete. Our client had requested further works.
