I have given this transaction a middle…

I have given this transaction a middle of the road score. I was not notified that the door had come in and was ready to be collected, I should have received a message to say it was in. The door itself isn't the normal better quality you expect. The plastic beading around the glass had gaps around it, I needed the door to get the work finished so had to fill the gaps to make it look better. I have had much better.

Great service and experience. Always a friendly reception when you arrive at the depot from the sales and trade counter team to the warehouse team. Great product knowledge and nothing is too much trouble, many items in stock so able to view before making a decision.

Bury St Edmunds store always so helpful and friendly, called into store just before closing for some supplies and still very helpful and patient. Was the same when sorting out kitchen for replacement earlier in the year, the whole team at the store so helpful and friendly.

I wanted to leave a review for Mollie & Rachel at Howdens Bury St Edmunds. It was the first time I had chosen a fitted kitchen & really needed design advice & support. I am very fond of them both, lovely people & excellent at what they do. Nothing was too much trouble, they genuinely cared & always wanted to make sure that I was happy with such a big purchase. My kitchen is outstanding, beautifully fitted by someone on their supplier list. There is genuinely nothing I would change & I’ve been using it for 6 months. Lovely quality, timeless design.

BSE staff very helpful and friendly…

Ordered flooring and skirting online for a pick up 7 days later. Went in to collect where I found the staff to be very helpful and order was all ready to collect so minimal waiting around. Took some flooring back as not needed and they were very happy to deal quickly with the returns. Over all very helpful and friendly team at the BSE branch.

Expensive and unhelpful

Quite unimpressed all round. Howdens weren't very helpful or informative insisting practically everything needed to go through a builder first. They don't recommend builders just provide a list. Prices are very expensive and the quality is really no better than other cheaper companies. Handles are already beginning to tarnish. We have a nice kitchen but feel it's overpriced and not the greatest quality.

I didnt realise you were a Builders Merchants in Bury St Edmunds (I thought you were just Roof Trusses etc). Been very happy, helpful Staff, your loose gravel and sand etc very handy.....Richard
