The service was good and staff helpful…

The service was good and staff helpful from the counter to helping load my door etc into my car. Unfortunately I was given the wrong lock, so I took it down to the Penryn Branch to exchange but couldn’t because they have a different system of exchanges a scanning one that Helston do differently, so I paid for a new one at penryn and will make a extra journey next week to take the old one back! But happy overall with both branches on helpfulness.

Had a good consultation for new kitchen…

Had a good consultation for new kitchen and initially pleased with the finished result. However after a week the work surface developed a bad crack along with a few other marks . We should have insisted on completely replacing the surfaces ;however the mess and disruption and advice from Howdens to have it sanded down is the path we took as we understood that as well as being very disruptive having the new worktops taken out and replaced it would have entailed a cost in labour of over £1000 for Howdens. The more or less unsaid understanding was that as this would save both parties there would be compensation agreed. Disappointingly Howdens are now chasing for a balance of £170 odd on our account and have merely credited the faulty worktop. Account number is 1102251771 A cheap way out for Howdens
