Great company to deal with! Made everything from design to delivery really easy. Very obliging when organising delivery and everyone we spoke to was always most helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of our kitchen is excellent can thoroughly recommend.

howdens costly experience£££££££££££££££

went to howdens and brought some bedroom furniture £200paid for it was told i was getting a deal left went to screw fix approx 2 miles away bought exactly same think no same make cost £70 2 days later went back and got £200 refcund happy screw fix you do the maths and tell me if you would be happy you asked for review

Superb service and products. The kitchen was complicated but with help from Nick and the rest of the team at Howdens, Colchester the installation went smoothly and the end result is amazing. We still have various tradesmen on site and everyone comments on the quality because if looks so “high-end”!!!! Well done and thank you to all the team at Howdens. Colchester.

Shop elsewhere!.

We purchased our kitchen from howdens last June, we had the kitchen fully designed by our kitchen designer at the Colchester Hawkins Road branch, all I can say is please beware of the hidden extras and the information they do NOT tell you, we paid £1200 for a corner walkin larder, which our designer was fully aware of the intended purpose for this unit, I made it very clear I wanted and needed shelves for my larder unit, these in turn were not provided and we were advised that we had to pay extra and makeshift this unit to be functional which meant purchasing a separate package to make it!! I have complained to howdens and was told this was basically my issue as it wasn't part of our order! Again horrific customer service. the designer failed to inform us of this at any point! Instead i had to pay a carpenter over £1000 to make the inside of my larder unit, We also had major issues with the size of cabinets provided and had to order and wait for different sizes because the designer oversized the units that would fit in our space, I have since tried to get pegs to hold the shelves and shelves to put in the tall units that howdens claim are extra charges! Who knew that 2.1m units come without shelves! Also the quality of there top end, hand painted doors are nothing to rave about, they are lightweight definatley not how they were sold to us! All in all I would just makesure if you shop at howdens you double check everything or shop else where if you want zero stress free easy kitchen units!
