Our internal hardwood doors are an attractive and hardwearing way to transform your home with an infusion of elegance and sophistication.
These doors have engineered cores which provides stability and insulation. On top of that is an oak veneer, which gives them all the beauty of solid wood with the added advantage that they are more environmentally friendly, less prone to warping, and easier to colour match.
You will find glazed doors with toughened glass, as well as options for disabled access, fire resistance, and sound reduction. Our hardwood doors are ready for finishing with varnish or stain so you can make the most of that beautiful wood grain.
Glazed doors are supplied with all glass toughened to BS EN 12600 or BS EN 12150.
Advantages of an engineered construction for hardwood doors include:
1. Superior colour matching within each door
It is far easier to colour match veneers than it is to do so on solid timber components.
2. Environmentally friendly
The timber used to make 1 solid door would produce enough veneers to make at least 10 engineered doors.
Our solid oak doors are of a tongue and groove construction with glued and nailed ledges.
Hardwood door veneers are made from either oak or a combination of oak and local hardwood insets.
Finishing information
Our hardwood doors are ready for finishing with varnish or stain. Waxes, polishes, and oils should not be used on our hardwood doors as they do not seal the door properly and may cause veneer delamination.
Our Solid Rustic Oak ledged door can be finished with varnish, stain, oil or wax.
