High quality, engineered construction characterises this range. Our oak and hardwood doors have an engineered construction and several fire door versions are available in different designs.
We offer a varied choice of glazed and panelled designs, as well as mobility sizes and bi-fold doors which are ideal for small spaces and wardrobes.
Within the Dordogne Oak door range we have every door size and style available.
Glazed doors are supplied with all glass toughened to BS EN 12600 or BS EN 12150.
Advantages of an engineered construction for hardwood doors include:
1. Superior colour matching within each door
It is far easier to colour match veneers than it is to do so on solid timber components.
2. Environmentally friendly
The timber used to make 1 solid door would produce enough veneers to make at least 10 engineered doors.
Our solid oak doors are of a tongue and groove construction with glued and nailed ledges.
Hardwood door veneers are made from either oak or a combination of oak and local hardwood insets.
Our hardwood doors are ready for finishing with varnish or stain. Waxes, polishes, and oils should not be used on our hardwood doors as they do not seal the door properly and may cause veneer delamination.
Our Solid Rustic Oak ledged door can be finished with varnish, stain, oil or wax.
