Poor Experience with Howdens Bamber Bridge
Visited Howdens Bamber Bridge in November 2022 to look at Kitchens, selected the one we liked and an appointment was made for a designer to visit us to take measurements, this happened on 22/11/2022. With not hearing anything from the designer, I rang them on 13/14/15/ December and left messages for designer to ring back, No contact made. I rang again on the 16th and spoke to the designer, no explanation or apology for not returning calls. Made appointment for 20/12/2022 to view the plans, we were happy with the plans, but it had not been priced up. Made a further appointment for 03/01/2023 to receive my quote. On the 22/12/2022 I contacted the designer to make some minor alterations, I was assured that this was perfectly ok and would not have any impact on our appointment on 03/01/2023. On 02/01/2023 I was informed by the designer our appointment had been cancelled, as all prices had been passed to the installers. I requested an updated drawing to reflect the changes I had made on 22/12/2022. This drawing never arrived. Eventually on the 24/01/2023 the installers contacted me with the prices. It was evident the price I received for the Howdens kitchen was incorrect. I again contacted Howdens and spoke to the designer, who agreed the price did seem excessive, he advised me he would look into it, I requested again a copy of the drawings to reflect the changes I made on 22/12/2022. These were promised to arrive in a couple of hours. They arrived the following morning 26/01/2023. On 01/02/2023 the designer contacted me to explain why their prices were too high, and a revised price would be with me in the afternoon of the 1st, I explained that the 2nd would be fine. On the 2/02/2023 I emailed the the designer with some more changes we have made to the kitchen, and requested an updated price. It is now 11/02/2023, I have no contact with Howdens, no calls, no emails, no messages, nothing. In the meantime I have contacted two other Kitchen suppliers, who have both been to measure up, drawn everything up and submitted prices and layouts for me to view. I am in the process now of making my final decision, with a view to placing an order today. If Howdens came in today with a price at 50% lower than their competitors, I could not consider them due to the poor service I received at the quotation stage, If this is the standard of service offered by Howdens, I doubt my kitchen would ever be completed. This is such shame as the quality of their kitchens does appear to be of a high standard. Very disappointing.

I went to collect some bedroom wardrobe…
I went to collect some bedroom wardrobe products from the rooster sheet only to be told they were not in stock. However, Dale at Bamber Bridge pulled it out of the bag and found similar products that I could use to get me started, whilst getting me the rest for the next day. I never thought he would ring me the next day, but by lunch time he was on the phone. Everyone in depot helped me out from organising the collection of my order to getting it on my van. Top job Dale and the Bamber bridge team.
