Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking, and not for the first time, bits missing, carcasses damaged. It’s all the time and it’s always me that looses out having to send my guys back again to sort out your incompetencies.

Fantastic design and great finish
I am really pleased with the kitchen. The design by Paul Penhale is fantastic and makes it so easy to navigate. My original idea was discussed with Paul, who make some suggestions, which really enhanced the design. The quality of the kitchen is great and the quartz surface provides a fantastic finish!

Dream Bedroom
Five star service received from start to finish! The whole team from our carpenter/fitter to our designer & the Team at Howdens Cwmdu! Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. They gave us time & shared so many ideas to help us get our perfect bedroom. The final result exceeding our expectations & we can’t thank you enough! Extremely poor professional customer service
I have emailed the customer service complaints department with the below complaint, and have not had a response. I emailed on the 4th March 2025, with several follow up emails to only have the reply "Thank you for your email. I have chased the depot and the customer service team for you for an update." Complaint: I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the poor service and multiple issues experienced throughout our kitchen order process with Howdens. Despite our initial expectations of a professional and efficient service, and while the quality of the goods received has been mostly excellent, the experience has been highly frustrating and inconvenient and has resulted in us being reluctant to use Howdens again, which is a shame as were planning on returning for wardrobe doors. Below is a summary of the key problems we have encountered: 1. Failure to Attend Scheduled Measurements We had arranged for kitchen measurements to be taken on two separate occasions. On both occasions, Callum failed to attend, causing significant disruption as I had adjusted my work schedule accordingly. Measurements were eventually taken only after escalating the issue to the manager. 2. Lack of Invoice, Receipt, and Itemised List We have not received an invoice or itemised list of the ordered items, which has made it difficult to track deliveries and ensure all items were included. We have asked for this on 3 separate occasions. 3. Delayed and Incomplete Deliveries o Our kitchen was due for delivery on Monday, 3rd February but did not arrive, nor was a phone call made explaining any issues. o Our fitter, Josh, had to collect some items himself on Monday. We were then promised a first-thing-Tuesday delivery, but the items only arrived at midday. Items were missing from this delivery. o The additional items were due to arrive later but were further delayed, arriving around 9:40 AM on Wednesday, still incomplete. Together, this resulted in our fitter having to work an extra day out of schedule, resulting in higher cost. o Callum agreed to deliver the remaining tall cupboard doors on Friday, 14th February. I rearranged my work schedule to be home, but the delivery never arrived. Despite multiple emails following up, I had to call on Monday, only to find out that Callum was off. I stressed the urgency of the delivery as the fitter was returning the next day. As I could not work from home again, the items had to be left outside. 4. Lack of Updated Plans and Poor Communication o No updated plans were provided to reflect the additional units in the island, leading to unexpected higher costs from the fitters. o No plans or lists were provided to confirm the units to be installed in the utility room. o If we had been given a detailed list, it would have indicated that a new dishwasher was included in the order, preventing the fitters from mistakenly refitting the old one. 5. Incorrect Unit Sizing and Design Issues o The additional units for the island were not accounted for correctly, leading to size issues. Initially, we wanted 600mm units, but they had to be reduced to 500mm to accommodate the worktop. o We are also dissatisfied with the wine fridge that was ordered. The lower two-thirds of the fridge only cools to 10 degrees, which does not meet our expectations. 6. Missing Plinth Lighting o When arranging for delivery, we specifically requested the addition of plinth lighting, which was confirmed and added to the order. However, these lights never arrived. The above issues have not only caused inconvenience but have also resulted in additional time and costs due to repeated delays and miscommunications. We expect Howdens to take responsibility for these shortcomings and provide a resolution promptly.

Kitchen renovation
Myself and my parent bought our first home together this year and decided to renovate our kitchen. Our kitchen designer, Darren, measured and designed a beautifully finished kitchen and helped us through the process answering all our questions and providing his valuable and helpful advice. I would most certainly be using Howdens again for future kitchen designs.
