Nominated for Best Business Charity Partnership

Howdens Joinery and Leonard Cheshire Disability have been working in partnership for 10 years and in recognition of this strong bond, which continues to grow, the relationship was shortlisted for the Best Business Charity Partnership by the National Fundraising Awards 2015...

Over the years, our partnership has transformed the lives of thousands of disabled people across the UK. Howdens has helped Leonard Cheshire reach more young disabled adults than ever before by supporting and funding the innovative 'Can Do' volunteering project. The partnership has also allowed Howdens to develop a range of affordable Inclusive Kitchens, many of which have been donated to Leonard Cheshire care homes, giving disabled people greater independence, and the opportunity to learn new skills and to fully enjoy community life.

The understanding of the value of local relationships and a shared belief in putting local communities first is the foundation of our successful partnership.
