A Game Changer Kitchen Makeover with Hawks Community Youth FC

This makeover with Hawks Community Youth FC shows how we added new cooking and cleaning facilities to transform this grassroots football club. Featuring cabinetry that creates a spacious appearance, this clubhouse has been brought right up to date thanks to the Game Changer Programme. Integrated technology allows the club to serve hot meals to fans and parents, whilst low maintenance surfaces have been chosen where possible to make upkeep easy on busy matchdays.

            About Hawks Community Youth FC

Hawks Community Youth FC is a grassroots club based in the small town of Southwick, near Portsmouth. It is the youth team for Havant and Waterlooville, and provides sporting opportunities for local children between 7 and 18 years of age.

            Making the difference

              Needing a refresh

The Hawks Community Youth FC facilties were dated and lacked the ability to provide quick, hot meals. Making the facilities work harder for the young players and their parents was a top priority.

              A new formation

In a bright, white finish, this area has been transformed. With integrated appliances and a sparkling sink, the new facilities pack a lot of functionality into a small space.

"The kitchen sits at the heart of our club, and these facilities will allow us to offer refreshments and provide a more inclusive space for parents and players, as well as our hardworking volunteers, who are the backbone of the club."

            • 1. Easy-clean counters

Laminate counters were chosen thanks to their low maintenance requirements - important when the clubhouse is busy.
            • 2. Contemporary cleaning

A stainless-steel sink was chosen to match the modern scheme. The durable material requires minimal cleaning, making the post-game tidy up easy.
            • 3. Transformative tech

To keep counters clutter-free, the club chose a built-in Lamona microwave. Now, there’s enough space to prep food and serve hot meals.
            • 4. Matching metals

To continue the modern aesthetic, the club picked a tap in a chrome finish, creating a metallic cleaning area.
