A Game Changer Kitchen Makeover with Lichfield City FC

This game changer makeover with Lichfield City FC shows how we transformed a clubhouse into a hub for the local community. This provides their City Ground stadium with new revenue streams and allows them to host events outside of football. New cabinetry in a bright finish and clever technology bring this clubhouse right up-to-date. Durable surfaces and a low-maintenance sink were chosen thanks to the easy-to-clean properties, which reduce upkeep and make cleaning up post-game hassle-free. Championing the importance of grassroots sport, this club is a testament to the transformational power of the Game Changer Programme.

Playing in the Midland Football Leagues, Lichfield City FC are an amateur football club based just outside of Birmingham. With a 1,500 capacity stadium, the City Ground hosts a variety of teams, including 35 junior teams and four senior teams.

              Untapped potential

Lichfield City FC wanted to turn this small space into a place fit for matchdays and local events. With regular groups of players, parents, and fans, they needed a multi-functional area to make half-time meals or drinks.

              A change of formation

The club's new cooking facilities have a glossy finish, chosen to make the compact space feel big and bright. Meanwhile, integrated tech leaves counters free for making post-match snacks.

“To be recognised by Howdens and the FA is a real privilege to everyone here at our club. It’s brilliant to see that they understand how important local clubs are to the community.”

            • 1. Contemporary cabinetry

To combat the lack of space and natural light, the club chose white cabinetry in a glossy finish. This makes the room appear big and bright.

            • 2. Easy accessibility

Integrated handle cupboards keep a clean, unobtrusive profile, whilst ensuring the cupboards make it quick to access essentials when busy.
            • 3. Grab a glass

The new facilities allow the club to host community events outside of football. So, they picked a handy wine rack to ensure bottles are always close to hand.
            • 4. Half-time meals

A Lamona built-in microwave makes it easy to serve piping hot meals swiftly. Lamona offers high quality tech at affordable prices.
