Emphasise the muted tone by adding a counter in an understated shade, like white, which will also keep the room feeling open and airy. Add grey tiled floors, which have the same rectangular shape as the cabinetry for a co-ordinated look. Create linear features by including banks for drawers and tower units. These will introduce horizontal and vertical lines that will draw the eye up and across the room, to give the illusion of a bigger space. Finish the scheme by adding silver metallic trims. These have a light colour that will subtly emphasise the architectural lines of the furniture for a subtle look.
