A kitchen transformation!

Having moved house, I found myself in need of a new kitchen and began to invite various kitchen companies to draw up a suitable plan. Since the overall kitchen space is extremely small, I was hoping for a design to maximise every inch of this unwelcoming part of the house - and to be able to fit in a much longed-for dishwasher! My available budget was the same as the available space i.e. extremely small, and consequently, I had soon ruled out several companies whose costs were simply too prohibitive. It soon became apparent to me that Howdens was the only company on my list to offer attractive, durable cabinetry on a budget, without compromising on quality - and of course, they are a Which? Best Buy! I used the Howdens branch in Barrow-in-Furness and chose the 'Whitney' range in white, to hopefully brighten up the small kitchen, together with quartz worktops, also in a very 'white' shade with minimal 'marbling' effect. This element of the kitchen was only second in line to the cost of the units themselves, however, I am SO pleased that I made this decision. The worktops look simply amazing - and provide a practical surface on which to do my baking - saving more precious space, especially when I'm rolling out pastry for my Christmas mince pies! It's absolutely wonderful to see how Howdens have managed to design this new kitchen - maximising every inch of space and fitting in all the new appliances. Nothing has been too much trouble for any member of Caroline Dixon's team here in Barrow; all my enquiries and many questions throughout this whole process have been answered quickly and courteously by everyone at this branch. The customer service I have received has been second to none and has proved to me that there are still people working in this highly competitive market who value their customers and go that extra mile to offer complete satisfaction. I also wish to thank the kitchen fitter, Mr Robert Cooper, whose name was passed on to me via Howdens, since Howdens is a 'Supply Only' kitchen retailer. He, too, could not have been more helpful, paying attention to every little detail when fitting my kitchen; I feel very fortunate to have found such a skilled craftsman. I am, quite simply, over the moon with this transformation and look forward to using my new kitchen for many years to come!

superb service and highly recommended.

Having just come from a major retailler selling similar products, the difference in the level of service was incredible. Having endured the worst shopping experience elsewhere, the young lady at Howdens saw us come in and immediately helped with our kitchen order. She was knowledgeable, helpful, professional and could not have done more. She took us to the design consultant and although only a very small kitchen we were given lots of help....superb service and highly recommended. Other staff were also present and customers were treated in the same way - a great store.
