Ingredients for a stew

Quote from Howdens website: 'we only sell to the trade, so a builder is essential to purchase our products. Using a tradesperson will ensure everything is fitted as expected'. From my phone call just now with Ed Crow at Howdens Devizes: "we are just a shop. Anyone can buy a kitchen from us. I can sell you a kitchen right now." and "We don't have trusted fitters." I contacted Howdens in Devizes because the extractor hood above our hob was installed incorrectly. Also, our sink has come away from the counter because that also wasn't fitted correctly. I contacted Howdens to ask if they could supply alternative suppliers to complete these two jobs. According to Ed, there are plenty of fitters in Devizes who'd do the job. Don't buy a kitchen from Howdens assuming the builders who fit them are vetted or quality-controlled by Howdens. What a stew.

HOWDENS DEVIZES … the customer service and support I received today was exemplary! The Manager went out of his way to help me sort out a minor plumbing issue (to do with a ceramic sink.) Truly exceptional service - thank you. James
