Howdens Leith…. AVOID

As a trade customer who has used Howdens Leith for over 15 years , recently the service hasn’t gone downhill . It’s dropped of a cliff Our most recent install with a 20k kitchen , the measure was inaccurate and the plan didn’t fit the room . Cabinets would have overhung the door by approx 50mm!! We had missing parts including basic plinths , not even on the order . Basic door joining plates for tall larder / tower appliances . Visiting branch isn’t easy , the counter staff don’t care , the manager Daniel Radbone doesn’t care . The morale of the warehouse staff is that the place has gone to the dogs since Daniel has taken charge . If you can’t lead from the top then what chance does anyone have The bigger disaster was the corian worktops, templated , supplied and fitted by Howdens . We ended up with a corian sink that wouldn’t fitted a side plate . Complete mess. While Howdens accepted responsibility and have offered a replacement , the installer is now waiting 7 plus days before we can carry on , a customer that is facing extra charges or thousands of pounds : Daniel Radbone the Howdens manager has failed to respond to the installer , a complete lack of any care or thought , the damage to the walls to remove will be substantial given it’s a period house I’ll be removing my association with Howdens in full , average kitchens and joinery , below average measures, dismal customer service . AVOID FOLLOW UP Emailed reviews as asked , guess what … No reply other than we’ve received . 6 weeks later and 2 email chases …nothing Shocking customer service

Any time I go into Howdens it is a good experience. Always friendly and informative staff, who are willing to help and find the right product for me. All the products on offer are second to none. I've fitted all the different kitchen out there but always suggest Howdens as my first choice to clients.
