I am honestly shocked by how poor the service has been. At first, I was very impressed and the initial consultation went smoothly, and Michael seemed helpful and professional. However, things completely changed once I mentioned I’d received a cheaper quote from another company. Michael assured me he could revise the design and match the price, which he did, and I was initially impressed again with the updated design. But when I explained that I didn’t like the workshop and shared my reasons, everything suddenly went downhill. After sending my feedback via WhatsApp, my message showed only one tick and Michael’s profile photo disappeared, meaning I’d clearly been blocked. I followed up by email to check if my message had gone through or if there had been a misunderstanding, but received no response at all. Being blocked by a representative of a company simply for providing polite feedback is appalling and completely unprofessional. I had genuinely considered moving forward with Howdens, but this experience has completely changed my opinion. If this is how they treat customers at the enquiry stage, I dread to think what would happen after paying a deposit.
