Ordered a door with Georgian wired…What a farce

Ordered a door with Georgian wired glazing provided the door size and was assured that it was in stock but at another depot and they would have it transferred to pick up. The door was a day late in arriving, our workshop painted it before going out to site. Site team call to advise that its not glazed with Georgian wired but Pyro clear glass, not to handy in a WC situation, my client did not see the funny side and the door has been rejected. Now been advised by Harworth that they dont have and never had stock of that door size with georgian wired glass...... I give up, we provide very specialist services to a government division who do not think something as simple as a door replacement should turn into a major problem, which it now has.

Not Recommended

I would advise anyone to avoid this depot due to complete lack of ownership or competence including the aftercare service. Multiple design floors and poor product knowledge. Wrong colour kitchen delivered, very unresponsive and reactive to enquiries during install. Faulty coffee machine took forever to change despite telling the staff multiple times to send two people to collect faulty model. It was eventually collected but in doing so left marks on newly decorated walls. Hob design did not allow adequate service void for extractor pipe which we now have to live with. Design errors with fridge integration and very little or no empathy on the impact to our lives during Christmas resulting from Howden delay. Howden’s objective was to take our money and run with a very poor overall customer experience. Only positive experience was Store Manager who tried to help but has underlying staff issues with branch. Also, experienced foul language from Howdens on site representatives which added to the poor experience received. Tops not cut at 90-degree angles. Product ok service just awful. Additionally disappointed having worked there knowing what pride the staff at HQ take to deliver an excellent service and product. I have also heard great feedback about other depots from the tradesmen I used.

Was told to buy something small to keep the credit account open so told them we would call in, when our engineer got there they said the account was closed so a wasted trip😡

Amazing helpful staff

These guys are amazing, one of best howdens store I’ve used. From getting orders sorted, ordered in materials or kitchens designed the speed in which it’s carried out in well impressed with. Let’s hope they keep it up thanks
