On line ordering

I have been encouraged in the past to use the on line ordering portal, however the materials ordered were not at the depot on the requested date! I was informed that it’s best to phone up as no one looks at the portal (what’s the point of having it if no one looks?). This caused a problem as I had the job booked in and had to rearrange it for a later date making me look unreliable, not impressed to say the least.

We are a museum and registered charity

We are a museum and registered charity. Only having limited resources we went to Howdens in need of some units for a new display. The manager listened to us and then sent a designer along for a quick look at what we intended to do. They were then able to provide everything that we needed at a price that was within our budget. Very helpful friendly people.

Flat Pack Kitchen Unit Replacement

Bought 1 flat pack kitchen replacement, B & Qs price £48, Howdens price £73.69, pretty much the same, but considerably dearer, went back in a week later and got another 600mm unit, exactly the same, with an additional 300mm base unit for £69.82 Explain that one, hardly good value, when the prices different that much. But needed the unit, and couldn't be bothered going to B & Q, may have to re consider.

Tried charging us over £100 more than…

Tried charging us over £100 more than we were originally quoted. Was rude and grumpy when we pointed this out! Items were meant to come in next day but actually took longer. Had to return to store twice as all items didn’t arrive. Put us off ordering all our new doors, skirting and new utility room from tjis store

We ve been using Howdens for the last year or so. If we d known how helpful and great service they were we d have used them much longer . Highly recommended. Excellent service . Obviously well chosen and well trained staff .

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service is rare these days but the team here all excel in this field and tick every box; a refreshing change. I dealt with Emma whose product knowledge was second to non. She is a natural sales person too and definitely an asset to this branch. More than happy to recommend this branch for both service and accessibility.
