Excellent design service and advice from Sarah at Norwich East. Kitchen was delivered cellophane wrapped, so we were able to verify the quality and finish of all items on arrival. No problems with accuracy or completeness of the order. Cost effective solution and really pleased with the kitchen that we now have.

A bit of a story.....

Just to be clear, this review is about Howdens as a whole but it made me select a branch so I went with the closest. A bit of a story but years ago we used Howdens and the reason I stopped was because of how disorganised and unreliable they were. The product was great but when a kitchen turns up with vital bits missing despite being ordered weeks in advance with assurances it's all in stock it gets a little frustrating! After 3 or 4 in a row like that we gave up and went elsewhere. Fast forward to now, Howdens have opened another 2 branches locally and while looking for some bits I came across an all new website. All the products online with pricing works really well for me. We're a small business and I'm often working late in the evening when phoning for a quote isn't practical. I thought I may as well give them another go so opened a new account. Browsing the site pricing some bits up and added them to a list so I'd find them again easily. Job gets authorised so I go back online one evening and click the send list to branch option and specify a collection date. Skip forward to collection date and someone goes in to collect them, they're not there! Apparently sending a list through with a collection date only generates a quote for me, not an order. Quite why I'd need a quote when the pricing is all online or why there would be an option to specify a collection date I have no idea. Anyway, they call another branch to see if they have them and they say yes, we do. A drive over to the other branch required which is not the end of the world. Arrive at the other branch to be greeted with 2 of the 4 items as the others they don't have but have put on an order for us! In conclusion if you have used Howdens in the past then they haven't changed despite the outward look. If you haven't used them in the past then be prepared to be disappointed. Will I use them again, probably yes as a last resort for the odd joinery bit we can pick up well in advance. Will I spend any significant amount of money with them, that will be a no. I can't plan any significant work with the likelihood that some of it will not be there when we need it.

Poor quality hinge packs

Bought some polished chrome hinge packs hinges were not fit for purpose so gad to buy some better ones from toolstation Wouldn't give a refund either as in a pack Moral of story always buy quality materials from a better store
