As usual excellent service and courtesy from staff at the Torquay Depot. On my recent visit, I was served by Danielle, who was very efficient and attentive to serving me with the products which I required. Always great and friendly members of staff. Top marks to them all.

Replacement part …

I called Howdens to see if they could supply me with a stop end for a worktop, which had been on one of their kitchens and needed replacing, a very small and simple part. Very nice chap answer the phone but instead of telling me they only supplied the trade. He asked me for measurements and details, who had fitted the kitchen et cetera. It was after this unnecessary conversation that he told me in lengthy detail why they could not sell me this simple part, why didn’t he just tell me in the first place that they only supply the trade? And I would have to have an account before he could supply the part. This surely means that if a handle comes off a kitchen cabinet and you need another, you have to call a kitchen fitting company to order the part and no doubt a callout and administration fee. Think before you buy.!!!

New kitchen

Had our kitchen designed (with 2 different outcomes) by the wonderful & very experienced James, he was so patient especially when we couldn’t decide which design to go for. Had the kitchen delivered this week & installation starts on Monday. Great service & everyone in the Torquay depot is so friendly & helpful, they even helped me to locate vinyl flooring like the one we installed 2 years ago in our hallway that we wanted to match in the new kitchen unfortunately now discontinued but some was still available in Barry (South Wales) & Dartmouth. Thanks to Alicia & Sarah at those depots also.
