What are handleless cupboards?

Handleless cupboards can adapt our selection of slab or shaker designs into a linear style that requires no handles, giving you more choice when creating this on-trend look in your home. Available in white or croft-grey, these units are specially manufactured to accommodate a decorative trim, commonly found in linear looks, and provides a small gap between the door and the frame to open it. This can be found at the top of base cupboards, between drawers or along the side of towers.

How are handleless cabinets fitted?

A handleless cabinet is simple to fit thanks to its specialist design. A builder can simply fix a bracket to the cupboard, and then a profile of choice is clipped into place. The profiles can be installed under a counter and along the side of tower and larder units, creating long lines that are characteristic of linear designs. Some cupboard styles can accommodate a mid-profile too, when there is a working drawer. For schemes that do not have a mid-profile, a push-to-open mechanism can be fitted to open the bottom unit, allowing easy access to its contents.

Hockley Gloss

With its lacquered finish, Hockley Gloss will offer an ultra-luxe look when paired with our handleless cupboards, and comes in white and dove-grey shades. Black and brushed aluminium profiles are available and can be placed below counters, along drawer packs for a mid-profile, and on towers. Corners are also available to wrap the profile around cabinet edges for a premium look.

Hockley Matt

If muted and minimal is the aesthetic of choice, switch up Hockley Matt in dove grey into a handleless design by using these custom cupboards. With black and brushed aluminium profiles to choose from, these decorative trims can be added beneath counters, along towers, across mid-sections, and on corners for a full linear effect that will draw the eye while remaining uncluttered.

Greenwich Gloss

For a subtler finish than the mirror effect, Greenwich Gloss in white, pebble, dove grey, grey, and slate grey can be adapted to create a glossy handleless look. Black or brushed aluminium profiles can be fitted beneath the counter and vertically on towers, while mid-profiles are unavailable with this design. A push-to-open device is needed if you have chosen to use drawer units.

Greenwich

White and dove grey within our Greenwich style can be adapted into a handleless design. Light-grey oak and natural oak also offer a grained option – all of which can be customised with tower and under-counter profiles in black and brushed aluminium. Mid-profiles are unavailable in this range, so all drawer units will need to be push-to-open.

Chelford

White, ivory, pebble, dove grey, navy and paintable too - our Chelford doors can be adapted into a modern, handleless shaker using our handleless cupboards and push-to-open mechanisms. Tower and under-counter profiles can be fitted with black and brushed aluminium decorative trims. Mid-profiles are not available with this range.

Our new croft grey kitchen cabinets provide a versatile backdrop that pairs well with a number of styles. Available in over 250 configurations, they come fully-wrapped, allowing them to be installed without an end panel when fitted with a croft-grey kitchen - saving money on a design.

Things to consider when planning a handleless kitchen

Profile position

Under-counter and tower profiles are essential to ensure your design works. A mid-profile can only be fitted on a working drawer with our Hockley doors, which are smaller in height.

Profile sizes

Both the black and brushed-aluminium profiles come in two different depths, with the deeper size specially designed for mid-profiles that span drawers and larders.

Flush fitting

An in-fill profile is available for when built-in devices are installed into towers. These profiles cover sharp edges and provide a flat surface to secure equipment to.

Appliance installation

Our ventilation profile must be installed with under-counter cooking devices to allow hot air to escape, and to prevent equipment from overheating.

Wrap around edges

Corner profiles are available to create a continuous design around cabinet corners for premium look, or when the drawer profile runs up to an integrated cleaning device.
