Unfortunately the flooring we purchased…

Beware Consumer Rights "Do Not Apply" to Howdens... the flooring we purchased (SDH3234) has had nothing but problems, de-lamination, lifting in places, stains not coming out, the list goes on, was installed on a flat level surface and fitted according to the manufacture guidelines (which is manufactured by Howdens) yet they will fob you off and say consumer rights are not valid as we are "trade only". This is an ambiguous loop hole, which is used only when it suits Howdens not the end user. For example you will see a number of reviews on here 5 star that saying "howdens installation and after sales were amazing."But this contradicts itself as Howdens claim they do not install, and it’s not their problem if you have an issue. However if they manufacture the product, take your money for the product, offer a 20 year guarantee with the product yet won't accept liability this is a big red flag. Litigation can and should be used where appropriate. It's a shame, as I offered the product to be taken away for "testing by quality control" and a refund, repair or replacement as per their guarantee but they refused to do so - insultingly they said they don't have to but will offer 1 pack of flooring as a gesture of goodwill (our flooring is 72sqm and cost over £3,000 in flooring alone). It seems a case of anything goes wrong "computer says no". In response to Howdens reply, your missing the point entirely it’s the product that’s faulty, the product that you manufacture not the installation . Otherwise whats the point of warranty guarantee ?

I recently applied for a credit account…

I have to edit my review on finding out information as to why my credit account application was declined. Apparently there was an oversite regarding the accounting of files, ( on my side)etc. One of the Howdens team looked into this had found the issue and then contacted me to explain. So, thanks to Howdens for pursuing this issue on my behalf. I have been dealing with Howdens for a long time and they have always served me well. 5 star service.
