Excellent staff

Excellent staff, excellent products it just stunned me when they said "All ready to collect now" which I did but the only minor issue I had was some small screws for hinges and legs/feet were missing. One pack only had 7 not 16, Also the large carcass had no shelf support push in clips at all. I called the depot but it was closed. Kind Regards

Awful experience

Honestly a total disaster and an extremely stressful experience. I won’t be recommending Howdens to anybody. Starting with the positives - the kitchen looks beautiful and my end project is what I wanted - so we got there in the end. Staff were always courteous in person and a faulty sink was replaced without quarrel. That’s where the positives end. - I wasn’t given the right options when the kitchen was measured and ended up having to change designs early on to maximise the space. - The prices given to me outlined 50/60% discounts but the discounted costs still far exceeded that of competitors. Howdens said they won’t be beaten on price and did price match to another company. - Only half a kitchen was delivered on the first attempt and it took SEVERAL more deliveries to resolve this. - Howdens agreed to reduce costs for the revised design as compensation. However did not provide a breakdown of the new costs for months, despite multiple requests by me. - Eventually my builder advised me that almost £2000 was sitting on his account and I had to chase Howdens to find out what this was as it far exceeded what I believed the excess for the extra height units cost. They then sent me 17 invoices to go through. - After hours of cross referencing myself, I identified items that I was incorrectly charged for and other items I was significantly overcharged for. For example 3 increased height units for £650 extra when the competitor that they matched me to would have cost £150 for the same difference. This is despite a supposed compensation reduction. - I provided a breakdown to Howdens and went in to discuss and was told that they were more premium than the competitor. Well I’m not sure about that… but regardless they got my business on that price match and then ignored all my requests for the price breakdown for weeks on end. I was advised they would look through the invoices and provide me a revised final bill. - Another branch visit and two emails later, and still no breakdown after two weeks. I was told they were short staffed and busy. I was fine with this as long as I knew it was in hand. In the meantime my builder advised the costs on the account were somehow increasing and now at £2400. - Then my builders account was suspended and he was threatened with a final demand and legal action!! - Complete confusion with Howdens about whether they were dealing with me or my builder despite all my correspondence and many branch visits. Complete lack of proactivity and response to the concerns. I was told more than once that these were exceptional circumstances but somehow the issues were still not being resolved. - After one final call where I was incredibly angry, the final bill was then reduced from £2400 to £400. Sounds like a wonderful reduction except that final figure was not far off what I was expecting to pay in the first instance! - Horrific experience.

Helpful and friendly

I went to the Greenhithe store and was served by James. Very helpful and was knowledgeable about the products. They happily took back what was not used and refunded. Will be using again

I purchased a Lamona oven from Howdens Greenhithe 13 months ago Twice it has had to have a new control panel and I have now waited four weeks for my parts to come in Hannah at Greenhithe was absolutely amazing she has been very helpful and has now got me a replacement oven and has arranged an engineer to install this I am now very grateful to Hannah as it has been very hard without my oven Thank you Hannah you are a star

Now once the warehouse refurbished has now been completed the orders are ready for collection. The staff have always been helpful during the refit which his put them under a lot of stress.

What an amazing experience we had today…

What an amazing experience we had today at Howdens Dartford. Great competitive prices! Lovely service from Laura on the front desk, when we opened a new account we received a free gift and a little game of deal or no deal on the front desk with a chance to win tools! Will definitely be returning! Thank you Laura for a great experience.

Great customer service.

Great customer service. I am refurbing my house and went into Howdens following the advice of my builder. I didn't have a complete idea of what i needed but was helped by Hannah who guided me from start to finish. I was more than happy with the advice i recieved and know where to go going forwards.

Kitchen Design

Just starting out with my kitchen design and Hannah has been brilliant being my first port of call. I'm one of those picky customers and have been back and forth several times with queries and questions and changes to the design. To which Hannah has accommodated every time! I just can't wait for my kitchen now!

Lack of communication

I was not informed that my order would take over a week for me to collect also once I had been to warehouse to collect my order parts are still missing. I also didn’t receive any phone call to tell me that my order was incomplete.
