Kitchen

Just had a new kitchen with all appliances installed - well pleased, looks great. From planning to delivery brilliant service. Unfortunately once installed the fridge wasn't working correctly. Howdens went over and above to make sure a new one was arranged asap. I can't thank Michael (Manager) enough. I think you can tell how good a Company is by the way any small issues are dealt with and I can't thank the team at Erith enough. Would recomend 100%.

Constant mistakes

Ordered around 10 items. Constant mistakes from the erith store Wrong items delivered 3 different times. Told manager would get back to me, he didn’t. Cost us a company, both time & money. Not pleased

not impressed with new assistant manager's attitude

I was hoping to contact customer services via email to be discrete, but there only appears to be a phone number, so trustpilot it is then... i popped in to my local branch to return/change a couple of items, and was served by a new face. i found out a bit later he is the new assistant manager (i wont mention names here) He seemed annoyed whilst serving me, thumping the keys on his keyboard whilst effing and jeffing out loud. I needed help identifying a particular part to finish my current kitchen. he couldn't locate what i was after, and was huffing and puffing impatiently and rolling his eyes to the ceiling... once i had managed to return my surplus items and sorted out what bits i was going to take, I asked him if i could pay the difference now. he became very argumentative, that he had already credited my account. i said i would like to use that amount now, against what i owe, and just pay the difference, leaving my account at zero... he said he couldn't! i pointed out that its not a big ask and I have done it before, and could he please find someone who could do it... when he stormed off to find help, I commented to his colleague "have i said something to upset him??" ... it appears he is like that with many other customers and staff... in the end I asked his colleague to complete my transaction, which he did with absolute good grace, to my satisfaction... I normally have all good things to say about Howdens in general, my local branch, and all the members of staff there... all are friendly and helpful every time... but this bloke seriously needs to buck his ideas up and sort out his attitude towards customers. maybe he has personal problems outside of work. don't we all... if so, he should NOT be acting the way he did in front of customers, showing himself up, and the company, and making customers feel awkward, and even at fault...

Always helpful

just before xmas I had arranged for a kitchen delivery. i had been quite specific about delivery times due to having to do school runs etc... there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the line, and when i called to find out where my delivery was (as it was getting a bit late), it appeared my delivery had been put back a day... when i pointed out the day and approximate time range had been agreed and promised, they bent over backwards to get the misunderstanding sorted... a mistake had been made, but they made sure it was resolved, and quickly too. thumbs up.
