Amanda to the rescue
Amanda at Howdens has been an absolute angel helping us sort what was a very stressful situation after my kitchen was flood damaged, single handedly made the whole situation easier and couldn’t have done more to help repair my beautiful kitchen, thanks again so much!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Outstanding Service from the Filton Team I’ve been using Howdens for years now, but the team at the Filton branch have taken it to another level. Massive shoutout to Julie, Mandol and Matt – their help, advice, and customer service have been second to none every time I’ve been in. Julie, absolute star, always on point with getting quotes turned around quickly and helping with product queries, anything you need she’s got you and she does it all with a friendly, no-fuss attitude that makes the process smooth. Mandol’s knowledge on the technical side and product availability is spot on – a real asset when you’re on site trying to get things sorted. And Matt on the front desk is always welcoming, efficient, and just proper easy to deal with – a top guy who keeps things moving. They’ve helped me out on both small and large projects, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the trade and the people they deal with. Makes a big difference having a reliable branch like this to work with. Would 100% recommend the Filton Howdens to any other trades out there – top team, great service, and always a pleasure to deal with.

Had an awful experience at the Filton…
Had an awful experience at the Filton branch of Howdens and would never use them again as a result. I am a tradesman with a limited company, and have had a Howdens account for many years. But around 2022 they closed it, because I didn't use them for a year during a period of ill health. Since I recovered and got back into work, I've been in many Howdens branches many times over many years, and they are always happy to sell me items. At least 10-15+ visits, across multiple stores, over many years. Bought a kitchen from then back in Jan. None of them ever wanted to bother properly reopen my account because it's a faff for them to do so, so they always sell to me on a special cash account instead. Fast forward to yesterday. I need a rare type of floorboard that only Howden's Filton branch has in stock. I drove 30 miles to buy the skirting, as I need it urgently to finish a job and get paid from the customer. Get there and they won't sell to me because my account is deactivated, despite me calling the avonmouth branch in advance before leaving and being assured it was all OK. They advise that reopening my account will take days so I have to come back next week. Another 60 mile round trip! And almost an entire day on the job wasted. Absolutely appalling service. It was Howdens that arbitrary closed my account. Various Howdens branches that then couldn't be bothered to reopen it. And now Howdens refuse to sell to me when I needed them most, leaving me completely screwed. Thanks Howdens! The worst part of all about it was the OBVIOUS relish that Julie (acting manager) and Amanda were taking, in refusing me service. Both were super rude and very confrontational right from the very offset, with no reason whatsoever. They were only interested in abusing their power in the situation to make my life as difficult as they possibly could. Both totally refused to take any responsibility for the fact that Howdens have repeatedly failed to reopen my account over a period of years and many many visits. I showed them receipts from other recent trips, they did not care at all. In their exact words: "Each Howdens branch works individually and I don't have to take any responsibility for them. In fact, you know what? I don't even have to discuss it with you any more" Other members of the Filton Howdens team were even saying "Guys, can't we help him out? He's driven 30 miles for this skirting and he does have an account" But they absolutely refused to budge. One member of staff pulled me aside as I left, and quietly apologised to me afterward outside the store because she felt guilty and could see how much it was going to impact me, despite doing all she could to help at the time. In the end I had to take a half-day without pay because I couldn't realistically charge the customer when I wasn't able to achieve anything. I will never ever ever use Howdens again. And bare in mind, I was buying at least a kitchen a year through you guys before this. I hope someone who matters reads this and acts because they ladies at the Filton office are going to cost you guys enormously if this is how they treat all their customers. It's a shame too, because the lads at the Feeder Road, Avonmouth and Thornbury branches have always been really amazing. They really know their products and are always super helpful. The EXACT OPPOSITE of the Filton branch. And even the other members of staff at Filton were actually really nice to be fair. Julie (acting manager) and Amanda are letting your company down enormously.

Howdens Filton are amazing!
Howdens Filton were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their products and the range available are fantastic. Martin the Manager and Assistant Manager Joe were professional from start to finish and couldn't do enough customer service-wise. I really cannot recommend them more highly.
