Very positive experience with Howdens…

Very positive experience with Howdens in Hereford. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Robyn who designed our kitchen was friendly and highly professional. She was extremely understanding and patient with me when as I needed to be happy with the final decision I made and worked on three design options for me. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured by Robyn which made choosing a kitchen design stress free. Delivery of the kitchen was on time and very efficient. I am very pleased with the kitchen and highly recommend Howdens.

Would not even give 1 star

Would not even give 1 star. A year ago I sent plans of my new house, arranged a confirmed meeting with Robyn (I travelled from another part of country, she knew) on 21/01/24. Went to meeting on time, with premiere building company rep. Robyn was not there. An embarrassed gentleman tried to make up for it, printed off my plans I had previously emailed. She then turned up flustered, She said she would work on a design and said i would get one by mail soon...... one year on, nothing! Am now very happy with a kitchen via another company. Don't use Howdens Hereford. Appalling.

Love Howdens, love the folk at my Hereford branch, very helpful, but you are continually let down by the damaged goods and the opaque and often frankly ridiculous pricing. You assume as a trade supplier the pricing will be somewhere around market average but they continually screw you on the small stuff that all adds up. I recently purchased 2 solid oak doors, £240 of each, about the right price, but then the hinges were 2 x 3 x £7 each = £42 more than double what I could get from the exact same on Amazon for £21. Same with their soft close Blumm cabinet hinges, twice the price at Howdens. Now Howdens sell a lot of Blumm hinges so should be able to offer their trade customers super pricing, instead they sc*w you. It all adds up to a feeling you are not really valued.

Design was completely wrongly measured

Design was completely wrongly measured When asked to visit and review they declined I had to alter parts that would not fit for other sizes but was still charged for wrong sizes and refused a refund This is only one branch. My local branch in Brecon is great

Always helpful - brill place - had loads of kitchens etc from them never a prob - if there is they soon sort it. Shame other places/suppliers get it so wrong.

I went in to buy 2 tubes of bonding and…

I went in to buy 2 tubes of bonding and there was 1 person serving, who was dealing with a customer who was not a howdens account holder. There were other people in the office who could see I was waiting but not one person came to serve me. I waited for over 15 minutes to be served which I thought was not acceptable and other people were waiting behind me. For a person in the trade who's time is limited I think it's not right for this wait when someone could of served me
