Friendly & very helpful staff

Friendly & very helpful staff. Showroom including toilets well kept. Only small observation was no chair for customer to sit on, especially as I am disabled.

I can’t praise Kaitlyn enough she has been so helpful in designing my kitchen. A picture of what my kitchen will look like has been printed off for me just need to wait for my kitchen to be fitted. A big thank you Kaitlyn for all your help

False/Misleading Advert offering free bottle of prosecco

Advert offering free bottle of prosecco when you book in for measure and design for kitchen. It failed to say Howdens will keep you waiting over 3 weeks for the kitchen design, with zero communication. Then refuse to honour the offer unless you pay a £200 deposit. Must have their own unique definition of 'free'. Provide a 'non sensical' quote and fail to mention you're entitled to a free appliance. Refuse to measure the bedroom without a second appointment. When issues are raised with the manager he says he'll phone back but fails to do so. Head office are not proactive in following up feedback, nor are they in the slightest bit concerned by the misleading advertisement or absence of itemised costs in quote. Happy to readily agree there is a lack of transparency in how Howdens operate. It is said that company ethics start with the senior management and permeate through the ranks. The poor standards of conduct in Howdens appear to be well trodden in.

I needed a replacement facia for my dishwasher which was under warranty but the colour had been discontinued. Although they were no longer available through Howdens the lady I spoke to (at Northallerton) who was called Tracy went the extra mile to help me and gave me some alternative options of finding the colour or nearest too that I needed. Her customer service was exceptional and I appreciated her professionalism. Thank you Tracy

Exceptional customer service

Had to visit Howdens in Northallerton today after a bit of an issue that was left by our joiner. We were welcomed by a lady called Tracy Walton. Her knowledge, kindness and understanding of our situation was amazing. She sorted everything out, gave us tips, even gave our kids an ice pole each. An absolute credit to the company.
