Do your homework on fitters

Complained about my kitchen when fitted back in March 2018 many errors were made at the time of purchase. Things have recently got dreadfully worse. Although the kitchen cabinets were of an average standard and served a purpose the fitting of the kitchen was not. It has been condemned as a fire hazard and we have had to rip it all out and start again. The fitter who was recommended by Howdens and who carried out all work was not a qualified electrician unbeknown to us and work carried out by him was highly dangerous. How he sleeps at night is beyond me. We have complained to the store about this and at the time the person in question was still carrying out work for them. Apparently there’s nothing they can do about our problems as they just sell their products. The work to rectify the faulty electrics and replace the whole kitchen has been extremely expensive and has caused us so much stress. My advice would be to really do your homework on the fitters ask for certificates to prove they are qualified in what they say they are, don’t just trust the companies say so like we did because the people they recommended were not qualified, maybe Howdens could run checks on fitters too to help their customers because people are spending a lot of money with their company. Just think before you buy it could really save you money in the long run or maybe just go elsewhere.

The service received all the way from consultation and design to the manufacture and delivery perfectly represents why this company is the number 1 kitchen supplier. The branch manager Dan Cole especially stands out here for the level of customer service and attention to detail received with every kitchen we purchase and we cannot thank them enough for the assistance.

I would like to congratulate your branch staff at your outlet in openshaw, Manchester. Whenever I need to make alterations to a purchased kitchen,get advice on new products or require a speedy resolution to a problem,they go above and beyond to accommodate my requirements and give me the best service i could wish for.
