Good Products But Better Systems Needed

The quality of Howdens products is good and the styles suit current tastes. Unfortunately, the availability of flooring samples was patchy with some being out on 'loan' when needed. However, this was resolved by 'sale & return' of complete boxes of flooring. Wardrobe doors I ordered came in within a week, but were the wrong size - this is now being resolved. The main problem with Howdens is that likely prices are not available up-front. Howdens should operate like other suppliers with price lists against which we can negotiate discounts. Nevertheless, Howdens staff are very friendly and as helpful as they can be without being pushy.

Penicuik branch

I was told my doors that I would be fitting for a customer would be in on the Tuesday the 21st of February, (I ordered them a week ago) however they haven’t been delivered and i was told that there’s nothing that they could do for me. ‘They should be in for Thursday’.I have no choice to lose two days work due to them not being in, if the don’t come in on the next delivery date i will be with out work for just under a week. my business is taking a hit time and time again because of this reoccurring theme. Please can this be addressed!

Excellent service

Had a replacement kitchen door job, not always the easiest in terms of sizing but the team at Penicuik were excellent. These days with delivery and availability being an issue, the guys managed to get everything together in good time and another happy customer for us.

We found a hidden gem when we entered…

We found a hidden gem when we entered the portacabin at Howden’s in Penicuik. Her name is Nicola Capaldi. Nicola is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled professional who knew her products and used her great communication skills to help guide us in deciding the best units to meet our needs. She maintained her cheerful and positive manner despite the time it took us to decide. I just hope Howden’s are aware of how great she is and pay her accordingly.
