Always helpful

Always helpful when I have turned up or phoned them. They explored different options and pricing, designed a kitchen to exactly what was asked for. Units, cupboards and appliances all to a very high standard and quality. Would not hesitate to use them for the next kitchen.

Massive thank you to everyone at Stranraer Howdens with special thanks to Steven and Aiden. Steven helped us design our perfect kitchen and was amazing at helping us choose and design exactly what we wanted. He made the whole process so much easier for us and was very patient whilst we decided and changed a few things. We also dealt with Aiden several times throughout the process and once again, he was top class. Very knowledge and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. First class experience from everyone at the Stranraer branch. Thanks again 👌🏼

Avoid sprayed to order kitchens.

Been a Howdens customer for many years and bought a good few kitchens without any real problems. However, I certainly would not recommend anyone considering one of their sprayed to order kitchens! It's been disappointing and certainly not worth the extra cost or inconvenience. I think Howdens have taken on something that they just cannot manage/deliver to a quality standard that it should be. Samples presented have a nice finish but when it comes to a full kitchen the finish quality is an issue and Howdens are not meeting their usual standard which results in additional costs to the customer due to return visits to fit replacement items. Local depot staff are helpful but I think they are even fed up getting replacements that are still flawed. Customer Services were contacted but appear uninterested and directing customers to law? See reply below after a site visit was requested to discuss quality: Good Afternoon, We are writing further to your contact with Customer Service about the Quality of your Chilcomb Linen paint to order kitchen. We have liaised with Robert at the Stranraer depot, Robert advised that this has all been referred to our Quality assurance team in accordance with our procedures. We understand that our Quality team have agreed to replace the items that have had a defect/quality issue. From speaking with Robert, we understand that you have requested a site visit however as we have agreed that there was an issue and the goods, and these have been replaced this would not be necessary. Unfortunately, as you have received previously and are still in the process of receiving replacements, we are unable to assist any further from here however Robert is escalating this issue and will be in touch with any updates. We can only apologise we cannot assist you further on this occasion, and trust this clarifies Howdens position. Therefore, if you remain unsatisfied, we can only recommend that you seek your own independent advice on the matter as our position is final. Very good customer service and advice

Very good customer service and advice. The kitchen is of good quality and design. Very happy with the result. We chose to use our own joiners for installation.
