Care and Maintenance We recommend that floor mats are used at entrances to the property - this will help avoid abrasive particles damaging the surface, Self-adhesive pads and castor cups should be fitted to furniture to avoid scratching where applicable. Note: Heavy scratching could break the seal on the flooring causing damage, Move furniture carefully to avoid damaging the top layer surface, General cleaning of the floor should be done using a soft broom or vacuum cleaner, A well rung out mop can also be used periodically, however avoid the use of excess water, Do not use steam mops or cleaners, Do not leave standing water on the floor, wipe up any spills immediately, Do not use cleaning agents containing wax, polish or oil, Direct sunlight may have an effect on the colour of the floor over a period of time, Use the floor exclusively under the recommended conditions outlined in the instructions

Important Notes As a Natural Oak Product, the Knots That Appear Are a Characteristic of Natural Timber. To Keep These Knots in Place and Prevent Splitting They Are Sealed With a Black Filler, Remove all previous floor coverings, Not suitable for use in unheated rooms, damp rooms or bathrooms, We recommend that heating should have been operating in the room for at least two weeks to ensure a stable temperature level, Sealed packs must be stored for at least 48 hours where they are to be laid. Do not open packs until you are ready to install the flooring. Packs are to be laid flat on the floor with at least 50cm between packs and walls. Packs should be stored in a room with a minimum temperature of 18°C, Must leave 15mm expansion gap around the entire floor including cabinet legs, radiator pipes and door frames, Do not install cabinets over the floor, The maximum area without additional expansion joints is 10m width x 10m length, If laying over a stone/mineral sub-floor, lay SDH0910 - Howdens Damp Proof Membrane (at least 0.2mm thick PE foil) first as a "trough" (i.e. lay over the floor and extend ends and sides up the walls for a few centimetres) or SDH0931 Paintable Damp Proof Membrane, For timber based sub-floor, lay Bitumen Moisture Barrier Paper, Use SDH0900 - Howdens 2mm Foam underlay & SDH0909 High Performance Underlay (XPS)*, * Not with underfloor heating, SDH3630 is NOT mixable with SDH3625 due to a change in profile, Suitable for use with Foam Underlay, High Performance Underlay, Damp Proof Membrane, Paintable Damp Proof Membrane and Bitumen Moisture Barrier Paper, Moisture test must be carried out for all mineral based substrates (2.0 CM % for cement screed and 0.5 CM % for sulphate screed), a room temperature of 20°C(68°F), a relative humidity of about 50-60% should be maintained
