Excellent service

I've had nothing but good experiences with Howdens at Broad oak. They're always true to their word and always make sure I have what I need to get the job done quickly and efficiently. All the staff are very helpful in my experience as a fitter. I have even had James the manager personally bring materials out to me In his car to help me out. Yes, sometimes there are minor issues with design faults but they're always very open and honest and go out of their way to help me get problems sorted. Will always recommend them as a store and have a really good relationship with the staff. Adam Hawkes.

Thank God the fitter knew what he was doing because they didn't

I'd been saving for this kitchen to be done for a while and keenly arranged the appointment for Gemma to come round and plan and take measurements which I did not realise at the time were completely incorrect. My previous kitchen was not a Howden's kitchen so the technique of glancing at the doors and assuming their size was not very effective. The kitchen plans were 8" short. The fitter worked with the badly fitted doors and was continually using his blade and inserting fillers, so the kitchen now looks nothing like the plan. When it came to fitting the doors on my fridge freezer he found that the doors supplied would not fit. The only way to make it work was if they supplied me a new fridgefreezer, which they did but this was not part of the plan and was a smaller fridgefreezer and a significant downgrade from the one I had originally. Broad Oak have since refunded me 1/2 days labour which I don't think accurately reflects the amount of extra work it has taken to correct their mistakes. My kitchen was finally completed last week but to top it off I have just had a delivery driver knock on the door wanting to collect some items, after apologising he realised he had got the wroing address, another mistake from what seems like a disorganised branch.

Outstanding service

The Broad Oak team have been outstanding! The staff have great product knowledge and have arranged for all materials to be in branch for when I’ve needed them, even bringing the items in from other stores. They go above and beyond with their service, and I’ll happily use this branch again.

'James' at Broad Oak branch a big thank you !!!

If you're interested in a Howden's kitchens i promise you' you have to visit the 'Broad Oak' branch in Canterbury and speak to a guy called 'James'. Having already had a kitchen designed from another branch we popped in to choose worktops/lighting/taps etc. With a few tweeks James transformed what was a lovely kitchen into our dream kitchen. From the moment we entered the branch James was both welcoming and humerous and despite not personally benefitting in any way (as we were already in the process of placing our order at a different store) he carefully listened to all our questions regarding our new kitchen and helped us to make our final decisions on lighting/worktops/taps etc. Thank you so much for your time. We will certainly be back to visit your store when we look at refitting our utility room later in the year. Kate and Ali
