Mis sold kitchen, broken promises
I’m writing this because every internal attempt to resolve the issue with my kitchen order has failed and I believe others should be aware of how Howdens Sydenham operates. From the start, Howdens Sydenham has failed to deliver what was promised. When I purchased my kitchen, the designer James clearly showed and confirmed that one of the cupboards would be in Shaker style. That specific style was a key part of the design and my decision to proceed. However what followed was a series of avoidable errors and broken promises: • The first delivery arrived in the wrong colour. • I had to personally go to the warehouse myself to get that issue resolved which should never have been my responsibility. • When the correct colour was finally delivered, the cupboard was not the Shaker style that was promised at the point of sale. Since then, I’ve raised this issue directly with James, and escalated it to Paul, the branch manager. Neither have taken any meaningful steps to correct the issue. There has been no solution offered, no replacement, no compensation just silence. This is not a minor oversight — it’s a clear case of mis-selling. I was sold something based on a design and style that has not been delivered. I expect: • Either you supply the cupboard exactly as promised (Shaker style, correct finish) immediately, • Or you offer full compensation ( or price reduction) equivalent to what I paid over what I should have paid if you had delivered exactly what you committed. Reflecting the difference in value and the time and inconvenience caused. As it stands, the customer service from Howdens Sydenham has been unacceptable, and I’m disappointed that this has reached the point where I need to post publicly. I hope Howdens’ head office sees this and takes immediate action to resolve it.

If I could review with 0 stars, I would. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!! Poor Customer Service
We recently ordered a kitchen from Howdens Sydenham and were promised by the sales assistant, Taylor, that two delivery men would handle it — essential due to our flat's access. Despite chasing multiple times after payment, our calls were ignored. Eventually, the manager assured us it would be sorted. On the day, only one delivery man arrived — rude, unhelpful, and refusing to bring anything inside. The kitchen was left on the street. What makes this worse is that Howdens charged over £100 for delivery on top of a major purchase — and still failed to provide the basic service they promised. It’s shocking that a company would treat a customer this way, especially when we made our requirements clear from the start. We manage multiple properties and had planned to use Howdens again, but this experience has completely undermined our confidence in their service.

Always helpful
Always helpful. Great service and if on the rare occasion, some thing on the order is missing or damaged- they rectify the issue immediately. Even to the extent personally delivered by management. Customers are always pleased with their kitchens which makes our live so much easier.

Howdens came out to see me 4 weeks ago
Howdens came out to see me 4 weeks ago. Despite phone calls they have still not sent my draft kitchen plan. They did tell my builder yesterday they sent it so if they have got my email address wrong they would have received a delivery failure message. They also l told the builder they would ring me, no one has. I am not happy with the service.

We had an outstanding experience from start to finish! The rep took excellent care of us throughout the process. Despite needing to make a few changes and receiving an incorrect worktop initially, everything was handled smoothly and without any fuss. All units arrived on time and included all the necessary parts for assembly. The ready-assembled units were a lifesaver, making the assembly process incredibly easy. Highly recommend!
